| We
embrace the following core beliefs.
- We believe in the eternal, living and true God, one in
substance yet having three persons—the Father, the
Son and the Holy Spirit.
- We believe the Bible, as contained in the sixty-six books
of the Old and New Testaments to be the living, infallible
word of God is therefore authoritative in every area of
life.
- We believe that Adam and Eve, although created by God
in a state of perfection, through their own volition sinned
and rebelled against God. Because they are the Root of all
mankind, their sinful nature has been handed down to every
generation. Therefore mankind, separated from true faith
in Christ, is hopelessly separated from God and under His
eternal wrath.
- We believe that God being infinitely rich in mercy chose
to save His people from the punishment their sin deserved.
Therefore, God has provided salvation through the finished
work of Jesus Christ in His death burial and resurrection
at Calvary. This great gift of salvation is through the
grace of God alone, through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
-
We believe that Jesus Christ, being the
second person of the one Holy Trinity became a
man through the virgin birth. Furthermore, He lived a
sinless life and was crucified, willingly taking God’s
wrath for the sins of all mankind. He was buried and on
the third day rose in the flesh. He ascended back into
heaven where He is seated at the right hand of the Father.
In the future it is certain that He will come again to
complete history. He will receive his people (the church),
He will pour out His judgment upon a sinful world that
has rejected His free gift of salvation and then establish
His Kingdom.
- We believe the Holy Spirit, being the third person of
the Godhead, convicts the world of sin, draws people to
believe in Christ and continues the work of sanctification
by indwelling the believer. Our Lord Jesus Himself promised
that the Holy Spirit would come to comfort us and to anoint
us with His power.
- We believe the Church to be the body of Christ, consisting
of all who, by His grace, Put their faith in Him. All true
believers who have opened their heart to Christ are to identify
with Him through believer’s baptism and Holy Communion.
They ought also remain diligent in prayer, the study of
God’s Word, assembling themselves together for worship
and seek continual yieldedness to the Holy Spirit’s
leading.
